CengageNOW learning management system is used by half a million students

Competentum has been working in international learning software and content development market for 10 years. The company has completend a number of e-Learning projects for one of the world's leading publishers Cengage Learning, formerly Thomson Learning. Cengage Learning announced that the company’s online teaching and learning resource, CengageNOW, has been engaged by more than half a million students this year.

Online Teaching and Learning Resource Now Used by More Than 550,000 Students, Representing a 52 Percent Increase in Registrations Since December 2006.

Formerly Thomson NOW, CengageNOW is a teaching and learning resource that provides more control in less time and delivers better student outcomes. CengageNOW allows faculty to organize essential activities for class – lecturing, creating assignments, grading, quizzing, and tracking student progress and performance. CengageNOW does this with more control in less time, by providing flexible assignment and gradebook options to best fit overall course goals.

According to a recent survey of CengageNOW users, nearly 90 percent of students agree it helped them understand key concepts and nearly 80 percent said it better prepared them for exams. More than four-fifths of students said CengageNOW helped them earn a better grade.
